The League did not run a separate League Cup (Bob Lord Trophy). Instead, all 22 clubs competed with clubs from the Premier Divisions of the Isthmian League, Northern Premier League and Southern League in the "General Motors Acceptance Corporation Premier Inter-League Cup for the Bob Lord Trophy", commonly known as the GMAC Cup. Results can be found in the Cups section, under the Generic title "Premier Inter-League Cup 1986-87".
