Football Club History Database - Anglo-Italian Cup 1995-96

This was the fourth and final season for this incarnation of the Anglo-Italian Cup. A similar format as in 1994-95 was followed, but with two teams from each country qualifying from either group leading to national semi-finals and final before an international final. Genoa claimed the trophy with a 5-2 thrashing of Port Vale (it was 5-0 at 66') at Wembley. The competition was discontinued after that final.
