Founded in 1904 as the Bedford & District League, the league became the Bedfordshire County League in 2006. Immediately after the name change, the league was made up of four divisions. A fifth section was added in 2009, but has come and gone in the years since.

Bedfordshire County League

As well as the league changing name, there was some re-organisation in 2006. The Associate divisions were dropped, and a new Division Three added to replace them.
